Suʻa Suluʻape Aisea Toetuʻu is an internationally renowned tattoo artist, born and raised in Hawaiʻi within a Tongan immigrant community, with Hawaiian and Filipino heritage on his mother’s side. He is the co-founder and owner of Soul Signature Tattoo in Honolulu since 2005 and has been a key figure in the “New Tribal” movement, which blends traditional Polynesian tattoo styles with contemporary influences such as Asian art, illustration, and graffiti.

Aisea is recognized for his commitment to helping people reconnect with their cultural heritage through tattooing, constantly exploring new forms of artistic expression. His work is deeply personal, and each tattoo represents a unique collaboration with the client, reflecting both the energy of the wearer and Aisea’s own artistic evolution at that moment.
